Persons with disabilities are eligible for 3% of all openings in government employment in Groups A, B, C, and D that are to be filled through directive recruitment under this policy. The Ministry of Social Justice selects the positions that are eligible for PwD candidates and may be subject to a reservation policy.
Provision of Compensatory time and Assistance of Scribe -Government offers special facilities for those candidates who are Visually Impaired (blind/low vision) or Orthopedically Handicapped may hire a scribe at their own expense during the online examination, according to Government of India guidelines. According to government guidelines only those candidates with a disability of 40% or more, as well as those with physical restrictions to write, including speed, are eligible for the scribe service.

Only applicants who are visually impaired (blind/low vision) will be given a compensation time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, regardless of whether they need a scribe.
